Last night we started things off slow, easy, smooth. Sultry, you could say. Every step, joy. Every movement, pleasure. Words that warmed me, a beat that got my blood moving. It wasn’t long before things started to heat up. His voice in my ear, pushing my buttons. The rhythm was getting faster, pounding, my heart started racing. Before we were through, I was dripping from every inch of my body.
After all, it was a hot night for a run.
So if you read yesterday’s post, you know the lust I hold in my heart for this man. His words, while sometimes simple and straight to the point, other times painting a vivid picture, telling a heartfelt story, have always resonated with me. The energy he puts into every performance, the strength of his voice, his range. Ooooooooooh. Then there is his guitar playing. He makes his instrument sing, much like another fave of mine, Santana. It should be no surprise that he is also close friends with Bela Fleck.
I do have a thing for guitar players. (Did I ever mention that for our first date, I took Adonis to see Slash?)
Okay, not on the bandwagon yet? If the following lyrics aren’t enough to make you rip off your panties and jump on stage, I seriously don’t know whats wrong with you.
Male (straight) readers, I’ll understand if you don’t have the same response/
I’m telling you, this does it for me EVERYTIME. (Hint, hint Adonis…if you want to have this playing when I get home from the gym, it’ll do ya some good. Just saying.)
Spring sweet rhythm dance in my head
Slip into my lover’s hands
Kiss me oh won’t you kiss me now
And sleep I would inside your mouth
Don’t be us too shy
Knowing it’s no big surprise
That I will wait for you
I will wait for no one but you
Look please lover lay down
Spend this time with me
Together share this smile
Lover lay down
Walk with me, walk with you
Hold my hand your hands
So much we have dreamed
And you were so much younger
Hard to explain that we are stronger
A million reasons life to deny
Let’s toss them away
See you and me we
Lay down look see
She and he
By my lover’s side
Together share this smile

All the way to the end of the world
Oh, and when the kids are old enough
We’re gonna teach them to fly
You and me together, we could do anything, Baby
You and me together yes, yes
You and me together, we could do anything, Baby
You and me together yes, yes
You and I, we’re not tied to the ground
Not falling but rising like rolling around
Eyes closed above the rooftops
Eyes closed, we’re gonna spin through the stars
Our arms wide as the sky
We gonna ride the blue all the way to the end of the world
To the end of the world
You and me together, we could do anything, Baby
Oh, so you’re wanting me to get to the goods, huh? Alright, alright.
The object of my affections and auditory lust:

You went from having a threeway with Dave playing in the background to guitar lessons…. Back the eff up. Honey, you've got some splaining to do and I'm all ears.
BTW, I totally get the Dave Matthews thing.
…love when he shuffle dances. And that accent! Grrrrrr…
p.s. copy the embed link (all of it) from YouTube and paste into your wiziwig. Viola, videos.
He's h.o.t. Nice work. Do you take nominations?
My first visit to your blog and it was a fun trip! I know a massage therapist who plays his music while she works. I don't know how her clients feel about it, but she says she gets into a good rythm.
