Those who know me know this isn’t my thing but hey, it’s worth a try so here is my efforts for Beth’s party. You can find the experts over at her place.
I started with this:
It wasn’t doing much for me, so I added a few items to create a theme:
And then I got full of myself and went overboard:
And after this was all done I decided the candles looked dumb but I was too lazy to set the whole damn thing up again.
Can you feel my enthusiasm?
I am so there with you! I have random beautiful things placed, or hidden, all over my home.
Us lazy gals need to stick together! I think you did good.
That was an interesting experiment. I especially like the effect in the second photo. In any case, it's kind of a learning experience, playing with color and form and texture. Cool.
The second photo is just right…I know how you feel…it takes me a day or two to put up a display and get it right.
Uh, not your thing??? Is that like me giving you a compliment on your ball gown and you saying, "What..this old thing?" Girl, you did great. I love the overboard pic. I'm all about lots of stuff going on in my vignettes!
Speechless is correct!!!!! Hands down to you, this decor is spectacular and bright! The candles look great. Take it from a simple, classy lady!:-)

Haha, I wouldn't have been able to stop with the 3rd! I was already imagining the napkins all spread out with plates on them, silverwear, and wine glasses! I like the color combo

I think your second try is the best. I like to add things and remove…that usually works! Don't give up. Just look at it for awhile and you'll know!
Hope to be in the party next time…I was a little late!
xoxo

Great color combination. My favorite is just the yellow and white.
Green and Yellow go fabulous together, really pretty set up:)
I like it.
Oh man.. I like that last shot you have there… that's WONDERFUL!!!
Ooops… I'm a guy…
Wait a minute…
'Err… yeah… that's cool…'

Frugal Vicki: I would have to say MOST of my beautiful things are hidden. It was fun to pull a few things out for this.
Thanks Kim and yes, lazy would be an apt description.
B-O-G Learning experience yes. I think I learned more about lighting and my camera than I did about the essential theme.
Sandra: I had about 20 minutes to do this (fortunately the yellow flowers were leftovers and I clearly just threw the carnations in a jug) all before I had to pick up my daughter after work.
Beth: I was lucky to be working with some favorite colors/items that were easy to get to. The next one may not be as put together (though I'm already thinking about it.)
Sweet and Sassy: thank you. I thought I might have dumbfounded most everyone. I seriously thought this would come off as amateurish as I felt.
LB@30: Girl, I took more! And if I hadn't been on a time constraint, there would have been the grandmother's silver, some fancy flutes and who know what other over the top stuff I would have thrown on that table.
Blondie: Yes, I think I knew when to stop. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's future efforts.
Red Door: Fortunately, I have quite of bit of both which made this easier than I expected. Thank you Grandma In Law for the gorgeous china!
Vic, when I read about this "party" I knew this was what I would do. Plus, I needed the pick-me-up this color combo provided.
OWO: Will you play along next time? Yours can be an early Cinco de Mayo theme!?!?!?!
Red Shoes: I won't tell a soul you were here. Our little secret.
Well I think you are very good at it. I love the second one. I am all for less is more so version number three was a bit much for my taste.
But please keep on doing this, I love to see it.
