Less Words Wednesday: Birthday recap, et al

Girl SCORED!

I knew she was getting some new crayons and coloring books and maybe a puzzle.  Nana had gotten her a new doll, stroller and an EXTENSIVE tea set.

But I really thought MY gift would be a show stopper:  an artist’s easel replete with paper scroll, dry erase board, paints, paint brushes, chalk and chalkboard.  And she did love it.  I can see her spending hours creating beautiful pieces of art.

But NOOOOO Daddy HAD to get her a really BIG gift.  One that needs 18 hours of charge time.  Yes, my two year old now has her own car!

Yeah, I’m livid but what am I gonna do?

Thank you to friends M, P, C, T and J for coming and celebrating Maddy’s day and your generous gifts, she will be enjoying them for a long time (and hopefully keeping the TV off!)

Oh, I did mention I was going to show off the Hubs handiwork….I didn’t get a chance to snap a pic of the finished product but here is a nearly done view:

Beauty, aint it?  Next time I’ll  show a before and after.  You’ll all be impressed!

The hubs just had to show you up!

Thankfully, it seems he has other uses you enjoy.

The manfriend got the son one of those artistic easels for Christmas. He liked the "scented" markers best. Huffing for tykes.

The one gift I always wanted as a little girl but never received was a huge art set! So I think your gift is awesome!

I am so jealous. That car rocks. Who doesn't want a convertible for her birthday? No one, that's who.

    The door looks great!

She will get lots of enjoyment from the art set, I'm sure, and it's the kind of play that will last her for years. Very cool.
