It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday…Did you just hear Boyz II Men serenading you?

The next kitchen is going to be 357 times better then this one and you’ll love it more!! Much much more…

You weren’t kidding you could have used help; do it yourself sucks.

    It looks beautiful!

One of the many reasons I married Mark. He’s a contractor, a damn fine – and scrupulously honest – one. He’s systematically gutting and rebuilding/remodling out house – room by room and system by system.

If that’s what a kitchen should look like, what have we got?

    Damn!

A kitchen can look that nice? Really? Wow. Who knew?

Where are the 2 inch thick layers of paint going back 60 years? Clearly NOT a Manhattan pre-war apartment kitchen, huh.

Also? I see that marble corner sticking out on the right and I can feel the bruise on my right hip that would be permanent if that were my kitchen (klutz much? yes.)

I remember when you were debating about the colors… it is beautiful! Just enough strong color, but also plenty of light. Your new house will be great…and will give you opportunities for new projects!

Yeah, I would have a tough time saying goodbye to that kitchen too. Don’t tell me – are you moving to my hood? :) Man, packing up a house with a little one and one on the way must be super fun.

Closing one chapter and on to the next. Omg- you have so many great things coming. Change is so hard. I know that the thought of leaving my house, the house that has seen our children’s first moments, would kill me. You’ll make new memories in your new house. xoxo
