Day 20, I feel a theme coming on!

Yeah, it’s all about work this week.  Fun, huh?

Some of you out there have been talking about it recently and so I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon.
Dr.Zibbs talks about his vast work experiences here  He’s had some pretty classy gigs.  And hey, who doesn’t love lists?

His post got me thinking about one of my favorite jobs: selling package enhancers.

WHAT?!?!

Yeah, MEN’s PACKAGE enhancers.  Jeans, what else?

Do you remember when jeans started having those streaks or whiskers coming from the fly?  When was that, 2001?

Well my sales pitch was the right pair would accentuate a man’s anatomy much like (when fitted properly) they enhance the derriere!

I sold a lot of jeans and may have scored a date or too as well.

Except for at home (because I gotta dress my man right, right?) the only package enhancement I see these days is when the current boss rolls in in his cotton, elastic waist band pants, playing some pocket pool.
Thanks boss.

A second fave was bartending.

Having grown up as less than popular and being quite the late bloomer, being a bartender was like being placed on a alter for adoration.

Suddenly men were vying for my attention.  How sweet is that?

Of course, it was a job and the boss didn’t pay much, he expected us to “pay ourselves” by being awesome and earning tips.  So I honed up on my flirting skills, bought a bunch of short skirts, thongs and platform shoes.

If the flirting didn’t work, there were one-liners and kissing other girls.  You know, hazards of the work place.

Now if only it had been in California where smoking is banned.  Hopefully my lungs have recovered.

What was your favorite gig?

My current gig is my favorite. I know, I'm such a dork.

But you would have to understand that my first job was at Burger King. As a 'pretty girl', I had to stand up front and deal with all the idiots who threw hissy fits if their 99c whopper wasn't made to their perfection. Bleh.

But why would you want to go on dates with males that needed enhancements?

oh the bar tending days….well, I was a server in a bar and balancing all the food in one hand, cocktails in the other, flirting with your whole body? that was some good times. Of course, it was also when I was 24 and gravity hadn't hit me yet.

Favorite job. I worked in a pharmacy. Helping the pharmacist.

Perchance this is why I have an odd love for narcotics?

I've never had a favorite job. To me that is an oxymoron. But my dream job is being a quality control manager in a whore house. Always having to test the products for correct movement, lubrication, tightness, etc.

I can't believe you had a boss who played "pocket hockey" in front of you… ga-rosss!!!!

I haven't had a favorite job… yet! Maybe one day! Although my favorite title is most definitely "mom".

    Sassy post!
    Thanks for your comment.
As for your flight – seriously Hylands Calms for Kids – a life saver. It's just chamomile so really guilt free and takes the edge of the fussiest baby.
You can get it at Safeway or your more tree hugging hippie type market.
    Good luck!
